SUNDAY WORSHIP
What is worship like?
For the most part, all of worship experiences at St. John’s have music, a message, and communion. We gather together to worship God, to be transformed by the message of the Good News about Jesus and to celebrate God’s presence in communion. After about one hour of worship, we are encouraged and empowered to go out into our places of work, school, and play to tell and show the story of God. Get there a little early or stay after for coffee and conversation.
Be sure to fill out your visitors card. Visit our welcome center in the lobby for information a“sweet treat” as our way of saying “thank you” for worshipping with us.
How should I come dressed?
Come dressed in whatever is comfortable to you! Some people dress in suits or dresses and others come in jeans or shorts. We believe that God is more interested in what’s in your heart than what you’re wearing.
Is there an offering in the worship service?
We believe that your presence is an offering. While there is an offering in the service, there is no pressure to give.
